2026 is well and truly underway!
Volunteer Retreat at Ovoca Manor 🌿 🔥
At the start of the month, we were delighted to hold our first ever Volunteer Retreat! We hosted 35 volunteers over three days at Ovoca Manor. Here’s what some of our participants had to say:
“Just that it was excellent! I thought it was going to be a training weekend but it actually being a free retreat for leaders is so much better; really makes the leaders feel important. I especially liked the mix of ages!”
“Sessions were really good; clear communication and lots of space to discuss with other people. Talks were at a minimum which I actually appreciated, allowed for more discussion.”
“It was really lovely to have a camp that I wasn’t responsible for kids and could just enjoy and spend time with God.”
The Leadership teams of Scripture Union Ireland and Scripture Union Northern Ireland met recently to pray together and share updates about the work happening in the respective movements. Please pray for both ministries as we serve the Kingdom together.
We ran a Bible Engagement Workshop for campers in 4th, 5th and 6th year. We created a large visual timeline of the Bible and walked through some major themes!
Jonny and Hannah travelled to Scotland for the annual planning meeting of Shine Films - films that make faith conversations possible. A partnership project between SU Scotland, SU England Wales and Crown Jesus Ministries.
