Momentum 2026 🚀

I always find January to be such a slow month and then February disappears in the blink of an eye. It’s hard to believe that we are in March now and work in SU is speeding up as we get ready for 13 camps between now and mid September. Add to that mix a Chaplains and R.E Teacher Retreat, the promotion and running of the Way of Saint Patrick resources in schools and churches across Ireland and four online Bible Engagement Workshops. 

It can be easy to feel overwhelmed. I find such assurance in God’s word and in this verse that reminds me that God has planned these events and he will equip and enable us to do them well, for His glory and the extension of His Kingdom.

Thanks for journeying with us through this season and for the many ways you support the ministry of Scripture Union Ireland. For your prayers, your financial support, for helping us promote the work we are doing and for volunteering to help us. Your contribution, whatever it is, is invaluable to the work we are doing and we truly appreciate it.

If you’d like to be involved in supporting our work this month, here’s some ways you can:

Over the coming month, we’d particularly appreciate prayer for our Mother and Daughter weekend and the Weekend Adventure Camp. Please pray for all who attend, that they would experience the love of God in a new way.

We are so thankful for God’s provision of leaders for our Easter Camps (thank you to those who prayed for this). Please pray that every new volunteers garda vetting would be processed quickly and for the team preparing talks and workshops.

Now that we have recruited volunteers for Easter, our attention will move to summer. Please pray that God will provide all the volunteers we need to run these camps! If you are interested in volunteering at any of our camps, please sign up as soon as possible.

Please pray that our NEW resource The Way of St Patrick would be well received in schools and churches and that the content will challenge and encourage those who watch it, to say Yes to God and follow His leading.

We were blessed with funding to replace the floor of the Sports Hall in Ovoca Manor. This work will start in the Spring. Please pray that the work will be completed without complications.

Finally, please pray for our finances and that God will continue to provide for the work we do through people like you. If you are in a position to set up a monthly donation, or perhaps you’d like to sponsor a child to attend camp?
