Scripture Union has been providing faith-based retreats for over 15 years to students in Primary and Secondary schools. From a Christian perspective, we seek to allow young people to explore what faith and life is all about. Whether you have a faith or not, we believe our retreats offer value to all students. SU looks to inform and engage young people, equipping and empowering them to make independent decisions about their lives and futures. Get in touch and we will work with you to provide the best experience for your students.
These retreats are holistic, interactive and multi-sensory using: Bible talks, group discussions, reflective exercises, meditation, music, film, drama, outdoor activities and games to engage students on issues such as relevant faith, image and identity, substance abuse, bullying and more. These retreats can be tailor-made to suit the needs of your school and/or group.

Retreats.
In-School
We come to you! We offer a full school days worth of Retreat. This gives young people a chance to take time out from the normal school week. We explore all things life and faith with a huge slice of fun. Our program includes games, bible stories, discussions, talks, meditation, reflections, drama, personal stories, film, music and the ever popular quiz. We fit into your school timetable. We also base our day around a theme and unpack this throughout the day.
School Day
You come to us! Our Day Retreats are based at Ovoca Manor situated in the beautiful Vale of Avoca combining the outdoors with the retreat element. We offer Climbing activities, Team building and Workshop within each day. Using creative ways to engage young people in their faith through a different and dynamic environment.
Residential School
You stay with us, at Ovoca Manor! Overnight retreats offer an exciting chance for young people to escape their normal day to day lives and experience something new. We blend everything above with catering included, comfortable accommodation, bonfire, amazing leaders and much more. This is a real opportunity to explore faith in a safe, inclusive and relaxing environment.
