The Internship will offer focused training, opportunities for experiential learning and the chance to assist in the planning and running of SU Camps, Schools Work and Events. Each intern will be empowered to develop personally, emotionally and spiritually through one on one mentoring and discipleship. The Internship will be part-time (two days p/w), paid and will be based primarily in our offices in Shankill, with time spent both remote and at our retreat centre, Ovoca Manor in Wicklow.

We are now accepting applications to the Scripture Union Internship, beginning September 2024! The SU Internship is a part-time role (two days a week) for a duration of 9-months (Sep-May) with the option to volunteer over the Summer months in 2025.
If you’re interested in working with young people, developing key skills and gaining hands-on experience, the SU Internship is the perfect opportunity! SU Interns would get to work alongside a small and dynamic team, participate in a variety of projects and be intentionally mentored throughout the internship.
This position offers a unique chance to make a positive impact on and contribute to the growth and development of Scripture Union Ireland, hone skills useful for ministry and offer support to local volunteers, chaplains and churches!

Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of SU projects which may include events, camps, and schools programs, both on-site and off-site, under the guidance of SU staff.
Engage with young people, build relationships, and create a safe and inclusive environment where they can explore their faith.
Collaborate with the Scripture Union team to develop age-appropriate resources and training events that align with the organisation's mission and values.
Support the recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers involved in youth programs and events.
Assist in reviewing programs and events to ensure on-going improvement.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in youth ministry.
